Lush | Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

l had a Lush bath bomb bath last night and I just had to share this.  I popped Sex Bomb in the bath and looked what happened? Like a sad crazy woman I went running for my camera to capture it (as you do).  I thought the affect it left in the water was rather cool.  What do you think?

After spending some time appreciating the beauty my bath bomb had created,  I hopped in for my long deserved soak.  With dimmed lighting,  some candles and relaxing music (thunderstorms,  waterfalls and singing birds anyone??) I drifted away relaxing in a cocoon of warmth.

I love this bath bomb when I need a relaxing chill out,  as it hits the nail on the head every time!

Lush Haul

I think it's been forever since I went Lush shopping, I cannot remember the last time I went,  as it has been that long.  I recently started using some bath bombs I got last Christmas which I think has put me in the mood for more Lush goodies.   Here is my mini haul.

D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap | LINK
Never tried this one before and it was a 'what the heck lets try it' purchase.   It looks a little strange and feels just as weird too.... Plus it's bright pink and smells nice.  I think I need to do a full review soon as I don't think it's had much blogger attention.

I Love Juicy Shampoo | LINK
Tried and tested and very much loved.  It's the perfect clarifying shampoo if you feel like your scalp/roots has a build up of products.  Leaves your hair shining and squeaky clean.  I just wish it was not so expensive.  I may have to buy myself a big bottle after I finish this mini one.

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar | LINK
I'll never get sick of this... Crumble up in to the bath and you will be in bubble heaven.  Smells great and a little goes a long way.   I get quite a few uses out of this.  The hubby gives it the thumbs up also!!!

I feel like another trip to Lush again soon to pick up a new bottle of I Love Juicy.  Is there anything you recommend I get my paws on?

Relaxing With Lush

Yesterday my working day was hellish.  It was stressful, the craziness mainly came down to other human beings acting like idiots.  I suppose to that's life folks.  If I was my own boss I would of walked away and took 5 or maybe even 10, but I have to live and breath by someone else rules.  This can suck.... a lot.  I was coming home late (I might add) on the train and I just felt rattled with stress.  I knew I had to try and relax to calm myself when I finally got home.

What came next is pretty standard after a stressful 9 til 5.  Dinner cooked by the hubby, a glass of diet lemonade and disaronno, chocolate, relaxing music, candles and a bath.  Last night I opted for a Lush bath bomb bath.  I haven't had one of those in years it feels like.  I got all the above bombs as a Christmas present last year and this is the first time I have managed to take a look.

I have never tried Dragons Egg before (the white one), I didn't end up using this as it has a strong lemon scent and I didn't fancy that.  Plus it contains popping candy and gold dust which I didn't fancy dealing with.

Sex Bomb (the pink flower) doesn't look like your average sex bomb, it looks too girly to me.  But it is known for helping people when they are feeling either anxious, stressed or tired.... Or all three!! Floral jasmine and ylang ylang oils help de-stress and soothe you plus clary sage will clear your mind of any negativity.

Honey Bee (the yellow one) is another I've have used before, it doesn't have an amazing wow factor like say Dragons Egg but it contains soothing and calming ingredients like honey, mud, clay and aloe vera. It's nice without the fuss.

Blackberry Bath Bomb (the blue one) is sweet and woody with a hint of citrus.  Another tension banishing life saver with frankincense and bergamot oils to help uplift and relax you.  Bergamot is used in aromatherapy to help with depression and anxiety...certainly glad I got bought this one!!

I finally decided on Avobath (the green one) which contains lemongrass and bergamot oils which give you an uplifting boost plus avocado and olive oil to tackle dry skin which I seem to be suffering from right now.  Boo!

What is your best ways to relax. What's your favourite bath bombs?

Christmas Lush Haul

With Christmas fast approaching Lush have bought out their Christmas collection. I find Lush a hit or miss, but at Christmas time I always have to treat myself to their limited edition products.

Clockwise from top left: Snow Fairy, Melting Snowman, Cinders and Santa's Sack

An old favourite is Cinders Bath Bomb which to me is the heart of the Christmas collection.  With its cinnamon and fruity smells plus the cool popping candy this is perfect bath time soak at Christmas time.  I wish this was sold all year round.

On to the cute stuff and we have the Melting Snowman Bath Melt.  This is so cute where it is shaped like a half melted snowman (it reminds me of the film)  This smells like a heaven with its mixture of ingredients like almond oil, lime and orange oils, cinnamon and cloves.  It almost seems too good to melt especially as it has chocolate drops for eyes and buttons.

The final cutie is Santa's Sack Bubble Bar full of presents for the kiddies.  A smell resembling a fruity Christmas punch this is another item which this too cute to use.  Break off bits and crumble it into a running bath, your bathroom will soon smell beautiful after using this.

The final Christmas item is the gorgeous pink Snow Fairy Shower Gel.  This smells of bubblegum.  If you've tried the Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum you'll know the smell all too well.  Lush say this smells of pear drops and candy floss but all I can smell is the lovely lip scrub smell.  The super cool thing about this shower gel is the shimmer.  I'll be honest and say I never even noticed it until I saw it under the light in my bathroom after I'd already purchased it.  The pearly-blue shimmer is so delicate and micro sized I don't notice it on the skin after I have finished showering unfortunately.  But it is such pretty touch.

Snow Fairy's sparkle

My one and only non-christmassy buy was the Rose Jam Bubbleroon which smells like a fresh rose which has just come into bloom.  Absolutely divine!!  Taking on the resemblance of a yummy macaroon or something more rude like a bottom/posterior (am I the only one who an see the derrière shape) this is any floral lovers dream.  The roses smell is just dreamy and I could sniff it all day.  Just like Santa's Sack, you break off little bits and throw it under running water.  I cannot wait to use this.

Rose Jam

So they are my recent-ish Lush purchases.  Will you be looking at the Christmas collection?  What's your favourite Lush item?

Lush ~ Think Pink Bath Bomb Review

This weekend I treated myself at bath time to a Lush bath bomb.  I raided my collection and picked out the oh so pretty Think Pink.  Sadly mine is a little faded as I've had it in my collection since February when I picked it up in my Lush haul.  But it is still just as pretty!

Think Pink is the ultimate girly bath bomb, firstly it's pink - that's girly right?!  Also the cute candy flowers and the scent of vanilla and tonka with the added lavender oils make having a bath a pleasure not a chore.  Once you pop this into the bath the magic happens and the fizzing starts.  Your bath water is transformed to a girly pink shade but sadly there are no bubbles.  Sigh.  The unique touch with Think Pink is the red heart confetti which is released from the bomb whilst it's fizzing around the bath tub.  It's quite a romantic touch :-D

In the bath tube fizzing around

Once you jump out the bath, this leaves your skin soft and lightly scented.  You're skin will not feel oily, even though it does contain lavender oils.  Unlike some bath bombs, this left no yucky line around the bath and no discolouration.  Just a quick blast with the shower head and a wipe down, it was clean again.

On a good note, this has the vegan stamp of approval.  This is completely vegan friendly as per the information on the Lush site!  Also I have sensitive skin and this didn't break me out in blotchy patches.  So would I repurchase this . . . definitely.  At £2.45 they aren't too expensive, but if you want to get more for your money you could try and break this in half so you can use it twice.  Just a thought.

Have you tried this?  What's your favourite Lush bath bomb???

Lush Lovely Jubblies Review

Ok first things first, this is one difficult review to write.  Reason being that i’d be talking about breasts but not just any breasts but about my own.  It feels kind of like a taboo subject.  I’ve been using Lovely Jubblies by Lush for a while now and I thought I’d share my thoughts on this breast firming lotion.

Firstly i like to clarify what I am working with . . . I’m not a small girl in the cleavage department. Not to boast but I’m in the DD+ region, so i wasn’t expecting miracles.  A result of pert, pointing to the sky breasts was not what i envisaged by any means.

I took this picture when i first bought it, i have been using it. . .honest!

In my experience of using this so far, instead of seeing an affect I actually feel the affect more so.  They skin feels more toned and firmer.  Obviously it doesn't work over night, you're not instantly going to get a boob job but you do have to use it regularly to see some improvement.  This also leaves the skin very moisturised and feeling silky.  It takes a while for the skin to absorb, however when I use it I only use a thin amount so it doesn't take too long.

The cream itself has a hit or miss scent, you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it.  I actually like this, a flowery citrus orange scent which is quite strong but it lingers on your skin after application.  When I smell this I always feel like I'm whisked away to somewhere in the far east, like Thailand or Malaysia -  it just feels exotic.  Applying to the skin it's not a thick cream like the photograph implies, it's quite thin and almost gel like in texture.

Lush mention on the pot that you may wish to by two pots if you’re ‘blessed’ in the bosom department.  Well speaking from a blessed perspective, I don’t need two.  You only need a small amount of lotion at a time so one pot is suitable unless you’re thinking of applying it twice a day everyday of the week all over yourself.  Also you don't have to use this just on your boobies, you can use it where ever you want.  I have used it also on my bottom and tummy, all those areas that just need a little help in the toning up department.

So finally once I've scrapped the last remains out of the pot, would i be running to Lush to buy more?  Certainly,  this has become part of my evening routine and I'm loving the difference this has made.  Don't let the £15.75 price tag put you off.  I know it's only 100grams but this pot will last you a fair amount of time.  It's totally worth every penny.

Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum

If you remember my recent-ish Lush Haul video (click here to see that Haul) then you’ll remember that I picked up the Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I thought it was about time I gave you my thoughts.

The scrub comes in a handy tiny pot.  You get 25grams for the price of £4.95 it seems a lot of cash to splash but with this, a little goes a long way.

There are other scrubs to choose from - Mint Julips (mint chocolate flavour) and Sweet Lips (a sugar sweet chocolate flavour) I’m not a keen chocolate fan so I got Bubblegum which is a tasty candyfloss flavour.  The fact that when I smelt it in store it smelt so yummy you could eat it on the spot was another selling point.

I don't use this everyday just every other night before bedtime.  I only use less than a pea sized amount and scrub it gently into my lips.  It tastes so yummy I'm not going to lie and it is complete edible so you are safe if you eat it.

What the scrub actually does is remove dead and dry skin and smooths them.  It on contains jojoba oil which moisturises the lips without making them feel greasy.  Your lips will feel like a baby's bottom as the saying goes.

This is completely natural and is OK to be used if you are a Vegan.  If you are looking to try a lip scrub then I recommend the Lush ones 100%.  This has been a permanent fixture on my bedside table for the last few weeks.

Do you use a lip scrub??  Will you try this?

Haul time....

Hiya, I have added two new videos to my YouTube page, yay!!!!  I hauled at Lush, Liz Earle, Sass & Belle, H&M, Forever 21 and Dorothy Perkins.

So if you want to see my random hauls from  Liz Earle, John Lewis, Sass & Belle, H&M, Forever 21 and Dorothy Perkins......here's that video.

And If you'd like my long Lush haul then here is that haul.

I hope you enjoy...let me know your thoughts!!!

Mums the word!

So If you didn't know Mothers Day (in the UK anyways) is in March 18th.  It's one of the days of the year where you can show your Mum/Step Mum some extra loving.  We should be loving them everyday regardless I say!!!!!

On Friday on my half day from work, I wandered in Lush at Convent Garden and was sucked into all things Lush!  I spent a small fortune.  But also bought my Mum some Mothers Day goodies so it's all good.

I won't lie I actually bought the tin I'm about to show you for myself, not realising it is in fact part of the Mothering Sunday gifts Lush have on offer. Oops!  Honestly though I am going to share some of the items with my wonderful Mummy anyway!

So this is what the tin looks like.....

I was in love when I saw the funky pattern and it's red .... always an eye catcher.  I am going to use it as the storage box for all my Lush goodies.  So what's inside you wonder?  Lets open it up!

Tad-daaaa

So I'm going to ramble about each one and say a few lines so you know what the items are.  I've the numbered the picture for you to make it a little easier for you.

1... Tulip Re-UseableBubble Bar
A cute Tulip on a stick which you swirl in your bath to make a lovely bubble bath.  In Lush the sales assistant said you can get approximately 6 uses out of this.  The plus side it smell amazing...florally Bergamot and Cocoa with Vanilla.  This is £4.95 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

2... You've Been Mangoed
A personally favourite of mine and one of the main reasons I was drawn to purchasing the tin to begin with.  I love the Mango Bath Melt as it makes my skin so soft and silky.  With its essential oils and citrus aromas this is a must have for me every time.  This is £2.95 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

3... Think Pink Bath Bomb
How cute is this???? I'm a sucker for all cute things and even more so as it's pink! Pink Heart Confetti is left in the bottom of the bath which is so lovey dovey.  This is £2.45 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

4... Butterball Bath Bomb
This may be little but this shouldn't be taken lightly.  Small, musky and full of Ylang Ylang oils and smelling of yummy vanilla and cocoa this leaves your skin so soft and silky.  This is £2.40 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

5... Amandopondo Bubble Bar
This looks so pretty you don't want to break into pieces for the bath.  With the delicate rose sitting proud on top and full of even more rose scented loveliness this is a definite buy if you love all things rosy.  This is £2.65 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

6... Pop In The Bath Bubble Bar
With its cheery child like flower that reminds me of a cookie or a cupcake decorated by a small child.  This definitely has the fun and cute side covered.  Full of begamont, orange flower and mandarin this may look child like but it packs all the punches.  This is £2.90 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

7... Madame Butterfly Re-Useable
Just as the Tulip above, swirl around and around in the tub and this wand releases it's yummy flavours of  rose, lemon and geranium into the water.  This smells so good you all most don't want to use it.  This is £4.95 individually and is right here on the Lush site.

All the items in the tin I have checked with Lush and all are suitable for Vegans.  Go Lush!  In the tin Lush actually say this is a cake tin which your mummy dearest can put her baked cakes in.  So now a cake tin and 7 ....yes 7 items for the amazing price of £28.95.  If you add up the items individually it certainly is a bargain to be had.  So if you like the look of this hot foot it to Lush before they sell out!!!!

I have recorded a Lush haul for my YouTube channel which will be up this week, so stay tuned!!!

What's your favourites from Lush??

Lush Easter Goodies

Last week I was on a bit of a downer as I thought I’d lost my engagement ring. I sometimes take it off especially when it’s slightly warmer as my little chubby fingers swell up.  Long story short turns out my cheeky monkey of a kitten knocked it off my bed side table under the bed. Tut tut.

Any way when it was missing or stolen ( I was convinced it was)  in the time, as a cheer me up my hubby picked me up some Lush goodies.

I’ve liked lush since for ever.  I remember going to Convent Garden on our teenage ‘trips’ into London and sniffing all the bath bombs.  I always thought it was over priced however.  So I found it a little off putting....shame.  Might be about to change my thinking though.

With Easter just gone Lush came out with some seriously cute Easter theme products..... see Lush website here for full selection.

My hubby picked this duo to cheer me up....and so it did!

 How cute!?!

Fluffy Egg Ballistic with the additional Bunny Knot Wrap
Smells like the Snow Fairy shower gel  bubblegum and bananas.  Looks so cute you don't want to unwrap it.

Lush website even shows you how to create your Bunny... see here.

Mums Avobath Ballistic
This was limited edition for mothers day.  Though I am not a mother yet my hubby picked it up for me.  Contains mashed up avocados and a lemongrass scent.

I’m normally a shower girl but I may have to start relaxing with Lush goodies more frequently.

Are you a Lush fan???  I might have to go to Lush and pick up some goodies!!!

Doctor, doctor

So I’m back from my little trip away. I got back on Monday and was back to work on the Tuesday and since I didn’t take my laptop away with me on my trip away, I couldn’t blog. But even if i had my laptop, perhaps I wanted a little computer free weekend!!

Anyways back to the blogging world, after moaning to my boyfriend the other week that my hair was felling a little ‘dull’, he bought me a surprise. He’d been shopping in our local mall/shopping centre and popped into Lush. Yummmm. Where he purchased me Lush’s The Hair Doctor

This product according to Lush is Cleansing, stimulating, reviving hair moisturizer for mending poorly heads. Hair Doctor will make house calls to inspire sad scalps and revive hair in need of help. There's Fuller's earth, a clay which degreases your hair and scalp, stimulating peppermint and rosemary, and chamomile to soothe sore scalps. [extract taken from Lush.co.uk ]

My first thoughts when I got this product and saw it was, “Have I REALLY got to put that in my hair?” I personally think this looks gross. It looks like mud or clay that a farmer just dug up from a field!! And it doesn’t smell that much better either. I know Lush products are a little unusual, but the thought of putting it on my hair was a little scary.

You get a small 250g tub for £14.95 (expensive, but Lush always is). Depending on the thickness and length of your hair, that determines how much of this product you use. Now I have very thick hair, its shoulder length... so not too long. But having incredibly thick hair, no matter the length basically means you have to use a lot of product in it regardless.

Anyways I decide to use the entire tub on my hair to get the complete benefit. I applied mine on 'dirty hair', as there is no need to wash your hair before you apply. Just apply to dry hair. Scoop this out the container and try to spread this evenly from root to tip. You can comb through if you wish, I didn't. Leave this in your hair for around 20 minutes. In the mean time you can play with your rubber ducky.

I have no pictures of me with it on my hair because I just happen to be in the bath and handling a camera whilst using this product is kind of a no go!

My verdict on The Hair Doctor....I wouldn't repurchase this. I found when applying this that it was hard work to get an even coat. I was so thick and lumpy and was just annoying. During the 20 minutes my head had a very unpleasant burning feeling. I almost got to the stage where it became unbearable. I was glad to rinse it off.

A couple of days after using this product on my hair, i felt like i had to scratch my scalp constantly. I don’t know if its where the methanol/peppermint open the pores on the scalp and i just had a funny reaction. I had properly rinsed this after the 20 minutes, but my hair still felt like something was clinging to it make it feel greasy

I’m not totally disregarding this product, it may work for others. But for me I'd give the Doctor a miss!
