June Favourites + Chit Chat

I'll start this post with the ramble chit chat part and say I'm so sorry for the delay, but this post/video is so late due to technical difficulties. Basically I filmed my June favourites whilst it was still June.  I originally hoped I'd have it up before July 1st however my laptop just didn't like my videos any more and corrupted them every time I tried to upload to YouTube.

So I was left with the choice of no longer uploading to YouTube or spending my pennies and buying myself a hardcore computer which could cope with the demands.  The latter seemed a better option, as I like filming and don't want to stop as i feel like I've only just started.  So yesterday with the guidance of my hubby, I spent a small fortune in PC World and got a new PC - yay!  I've now uploaded about three videos in fast succession which you can see on my YouTube channel.  But hopefully that should explain my slowness of giving you my June favourites.  Anyways on with the show.

Last month I bought you May empties, this month I have June favourites for you.  I decided I may alternate it so it'll be empties, favourites, empties, favourites . . . it just seems easier and it gives me more time to fall in love and empty my products.

A little chit-chat!

Happy April everyone!

Thought I'd mention a few things about my blog to keep you in the loop.  As you can hopefully see, I have had a little revamp and just changed my layout ever so slightly (wider and added the left column) nothing too major.

I've tried to make it more user friendly by adding a search the blog option to make it easier to find anything you might be looking for.

I've also on the left hand side added my links to Blog Lovin and Hellocotton, so you can follow me there.  I know I'm a little slow at joining up to these sites.  Sorrrrrry!

Also....yes also I have added my little YouTube link on the right hand side (towards to bottom).  I have ventured on to the YouTube world and yes it is still early days.  I'm not a pro at it just yet and I don't have tonnes of time on my side.  I blog and make videos when I'm not busy with work, the house chores etc.  But I am enjoying it so far :-D

Pending videos....

So I am off to the good old USA within a week and I plan to film a few videos before I depart.  I'm going to film a whats in my suitcase video and whats in travel makeup bag video.  I have filmed a 2011 favourites but who knows if that will get posted as it's a little late now.

It was my news resolutions to make more videos and to try and blog more.  Just a bit difficult when you're a full time worker and have blogging talent of a plonker!! Haha!

Any how fingers crossed I will get these videos up before I leave next Monday.

Work in progress

Hi all,

So if you haven't noticed I've fiddled with my blog.  It's still work in progress and I haven't completely done everything yet.

You'll see some of the previous blog posts are a little weird looking...they are on my hit list to update them as soon as...... I promise!!!!

So do you like the layout?   Is there anything you do/don't like?  I'd love to know :- )

Oh and I thought I'd take this chance to say a little thank you to all my followers/readers,  I'd always dreamed of blogging and never imagined I'd actually get people wanting to follow me.  It makes me very happy indeed!!!!

Mystery Solved

Sherlock Jolly solved a case. Bizarrely random pieces of my makeup & personal things have been going missing for a while now. I start to wonder if it was my hubby2b stealing them for his own personal use.......eeeeewww!!

When it comes to my things, especially make up I am quite meticulous. If anything walkies I WILL notice.

My missing list was getting bigger and bigger; Mac’s Hue, 17 Mirror Shine lippy, NYX Gloss, pens, Sigma SS168 M brush to name a few.

Then the other day I kind of thought my handbag weighed a tonne, when there was nothing in it. (I was having a bit of a sort out.) To my surprise; after further investigation, I found a giant hole in the inside pocket of the bag. So anything I was putting in there was falling straight through between the lining.   Sadly it was only makeup, pens and odd random things which turned up. No winning lottery tickets :- ( Sigh.

But on a good note, Mac’s Love Nectar and Hue, Revlon Peach Petal gloss, 17 lipstick, my Sigma Brush, Givenchy Sun gloss and a bunch of pens have all been returned to their rightful owner.

Unfortunately the NYX Tea Rose gloss in still M.I.A, but one day she will found safe and well....I hope.

Rambling Chit-Chat & Review

I popped into my local news agents after work yesterday in some desperate need of pointless gossip. So I headed over to the weekly magazine shelves. Whilst I was browsing through the endless supply of cheap magazines, my beady eye caught a glimpse of something with more of a wow!!



June Copy of In Style Magazine with FREE Nail Inc nail polish. It also has the oh so gorgeous Leona Lewis on the cover. *sigh*

I’ve never read In Style magazine before, but surely no one’s going to turn down a free Nail Inc nail polish. Not me for sure!!!
They were giving away 3 colours, a Red, Taupey neutral or a pinky/lilac. (Real names In Style Beach, In Style Mink and In Style Candy

The taupe colour instantly got my pulse racing, so I went through every single magazine in search of it & you guessed it....none left!!!! *Pulls sad face!* I didn’t want the red as I already have this colour or something similar, so all that was left for me to try was the pinky/lilac or whatever you want to call it.

In Style Magazine costs a reasonable £3.60, a little expensive than the usual cheap and cheerful gossip magazine but when they are throwing in a free nail polish (especially a Nail Inc one), it’s kind of stupid to turn down such an offer. So I grabbed my copy and headed for the counter handed over my money. And then spent the next hour on the tube reading my new find.

This is the second Nail Inc polish I have (the other was yet another freebie with either Cosmo or Glamour magazine, I can’t remember which one but it was the red polish hence why I didn’t want a red this time). I’ve always associated Nail Inc with OPI, in other words out of my reach. They are kind a special like the OPI, they are not your average nail polish and are supposedly somewhat ‘better’ than the high street drug store polishes. My main annoyance is the price. They are friggin’ expensive. They aren’t highly available; the only place I know that does both brands is WWW.ASOS.COM. Or if you’re in the UK you can buy them on EBAY for a less dramatic price. (£9.00 for a polish is a tad extreme for me)

So when you’re being offered something that’s usually £9.00 for a whooping £3.60, why would you say no??? I’ve decided to put the polish In Style Candy as it is called..... On today before work and my thoughts....it’s alright nothing really out of the ordinary. Just like a standard nail polish to me. I know Barry M and Collection 2000 have similar colours.



I wouldn’t say it covered my nails well, I feel it was a bit streaky. You definitely require 2 coats. I do wonder what all the fuss is about. Whichever way you look at it you’re getting a magazine for free or a nail polish for free.

Also inside the magazine they were advertising 20% off at Nail Inc when you order online. You must use the code INSTYLE2010 at the checkout. Woop woop!!!!

All in all pretty good I say.
