Second Hand EBay Finds
There's that saying "one mans junk is another mans treasure". I think in this day and age we have become very much a throw away society. I can hold my hands up myself and say I pretty much donate to charity shops on regular basis. However I think I should perhaps try to sell my no longer loved items instead of popping them to the charity shop. Donating to charity; yes it is a GOOD thing, but some times it would be nice to get a little cash in MY pocket instead. No offence.
Lately I'm being quite careful where I spend my money, as I'm living off maternity pay and that pays peanuts. I cannot complain really, as at least we get paid money in the first place to stay home and look after our babies'. Since I had Grace I feel a little meh about my clothes. I'm living in-between sizes as I still have the mum-tum. I'm not bothered that I have a mum-tum, but it's annoying as I cannot find anything that works for me right now. I do aim to lose weight, but I'm in no big rush to get my Victoria Secrets model like body back. Not like I had this in the first place I might add.
Instead of nipping in to my trusty Primark or to charity shops I thought I would log in to EBay and look for some items that were no longer being loved and needed a new home. Here is what I got...
GAP Cream Mohair Jumper
I really liked this jumper as soon as I saw it and it was for sale for a mere £3.97 plus postage of £3.50 - a bargain total of £7.47. I like the look of the vertical ribbing and the collar. We're still having some chilly days and I thought this looked nice and snug. When it arrived, unfortunately it was marked which I told the seller about and she was more than happy to refund me if the stains didn't come out once washed. What looks like happened was the bag she posted the jumper in had a blue lining that rubbed off. Luckily it came off no problem.
I've had two issues with the jumper... firstly it can be a little see through meaning no white or black bras underneath unless you have a vest on first, which is fair enough. The second issue is the jumper can shed a little. I try not to wear it around Grace as I know she'll get the jumper fibres stuck in-between her fingers. I don't want her eating fluff just yet.
The burning question you have is, would I buy this again?? The answer is ... probably. Like I said the shedding is annoying, especially since I have a baby where everything gets stuck in her hands and spaces between her fingers. Apart from that it is a nice buy, even if I get a year or 18 months of wear it is still worth it I think.
Peacocks Alexa Skinny Jeans
I've bought the Alexa jeans from Peacocks before in store, but they never seem to have them in size 12 and this is why I took to EBay. The seller had these marketed as a buy now offer for £9.99 including postage. I made her an offer of £8.00 which she came back with a counter offer of £8.99. I though this seemed fair deal considering it included postage. I know what it's like to sell items and how much postage can sting you.
Once I got the jeans, they looked fine apart from that I'VE BEEN SAT AROUND FOR A BIT smell, however a good wash sorted that. I like the detail on the back pocket... I've not got this on my other Alexa jeans. What I like about this range of jeans is the stretch and give they have. I found 14s a little too stretchy and this is why I was looking for 12s. I popped these on and these just kept wanting to wriggle down but not because I think they are too big. I think they are on the small size which is a shame. I can wear them but I have to pull them up now and again. I might have to dig belt out!
Now would I buy them again? Yes certainly. I've got a pair of jeans for half price as Peacocks sell these for between £16 and £18 and there is nothing wrong with them. After I lose a couple of pounds I think they will be more of a better fit. Whoop whoop.
That's it for now for my EBay purchases. I'm also going to do a post soon on some charity shop finds. I will get to share with you all a coat that I found and I'm seriously proud of this beauty and how much I paid for it!!
Do you shop on EBay for second hand clothes?

Christmas With UncommonGoods
Christmas this year is certainly going to be a different Christmas to all the others in my life time. I now have a feisty baby to watch over for the next 20 years and with the festive season lurking around the corner I am kind of not looking forward to it! The reason being, I often find Christmas shopping quite stressful when it comes to buying gifts - I always find people like my Dad for instance frustrating to buy for. Men are just difficult aren't they?
Going to the shops Christmas shopping with a two month old is pretty much a no go and I will do much of it all online. So what better timing than to collaborate with UncommonGoods for this post.
UncommonGoods is a US based company which offer a creative array of gifts at affordable prices. There is an unbelievable amount on offer and I don't think there is anything they don't have - something for everybody.
When I read about UncommonGoods mission it had me smiling and nodding my head at so many points. You almost want to fist bump them and say good on you. It is not very often you hear about companies who actually care about so many things.
They don't sell any goods that may cause harm to animals like leather and feathers for example. As someone who opts for cruelty free products, knowing that their mission is to protect animals had me touched. They also give back with their Better To Give Program where they donate $1 to your chosen no-profit organisation. You just select the who you want the money donated to at the checkout when your make your purchase. How cool is that?! I don't think there are many companies out there who care so much - I kind of wish I worked for them.
Now since out little one came along, I'm quite into personalised items with her name on. I was really taken by the cushions where you can get your babies details added to it. Such a personal touch and would also make a great gift be it a Christmas or a Christening. You can see so many options HERE for personalised gifts.
Our family are quite big fan of opening stockings on Christmas Eve. Lots of little presents, some of the fun and silly and some of them actually useful. If you need some ideas of what to pop into someones Christmas stocking this year - for instance a nice pair of earrings - there is a vast amount of options HERE up for grabs.
Every year I always find it difficult buying for my secret Santa at work. If you're clueless at what to get your secret Santa this year, you can take your pick at tonnes of gift ideas for under £20 - like this popcorn maker. There are lots of Christmas gift ideas right HERE for him and her - you'll won't know what to pick as there is so many choices!
I'm really glad I have been introduced to UncommonGoods and I'm really tempted to give them a whirl. Will you pop along and give them a look? I guarantee you'll find something for your loved ones! Oh just an FYI... as they are based in NYC, I would if you're planning to buy anything - get in there early. We all know what Christmas mail can be like lol!

What's In My Yoga Bag?
Yoga is far more than standing on one leg, humming and looking ridiculous. It's actually a rather good work out - try it if you do not believe me! I've been attending an evening class and I thought it would nice to share what kind of clothes I wear and what bits and bobs I take with me. So what's in my bag you ask?
The key thing with yoga is comfort. None of the positions you try to obtain should cause you any unnecessary discomfort and neither should your clothes you wear to class. You need to feel comfortable, nothing too tight or too loose it's falling down round your ankles. I like to wear a skin tight work out vests - I prefer these to loose fitting flowy tops as there is no fabric falling in your face when you're in your downward facing dog! The Nike Dri and the Adidas ClimaLite lines are one of my favourites as they are breathable and move along with you - almost like a second layer of skin.
For my bottoms I like my leggings and when I say leggings I mean work out ones, not those causal thin black ones. The causal ones generally are a little thinner and can show your knickers off - keep that for the bedroom ladies!!!!! I own a few nice pairs from USA Pro, which have good Lycra in them and are quite high waisted. No falling down to my ankles!
Now ladies, when it comes to your boobies - please wear good support. Whether you are small, medium or large or even extra large in the bust department - you need support. I wear my sports bra as I have mountains (as per Shakira - Whenever, Wherever). The bras I use are from Active D+ range from Shocker Absorber, I love this kind I wear as they are high at the front so I don't fall out. No awkward moments!
You may not necessarily need any equipment to begin with. If you're attending a new group perhaps message your instructor and find out if they supply matts at the class. If you love it, want to make the class a regular thing, then you may want to buy your own. The matt I have is from the Argos Davina McCall range. I personally didn't want anything too fancy and this does the job perfectly.
On to blocks, these aren't a must - it is dependant on you really. Unfortunately I don't have long luscious limbs like a super model. With some of the yoga positions you need a little help and I certainly do. The two I picked up are from USA Pro (not being sponsored - promise). I've provided the link to an Ebay page as the blocks weren't on the USA Pro site - LINK.
The belt is next on my list to buy. I'm currently using a range of residence rubber bands I've collected over the years. These are great too if you aren't that flexible yet and need help reaching certain positions. Link HERE if you want to browser at some.
I hope this helps any yoga newbies out there. Have you ever tried yoga? Do you have any yoga essentials recommendations?

Vionic Shoe Review: Minna Ballet Flats
For starters excuse the photobombing paws above, but they are so cute I had to leave them in! Cat lover over here.
Any-ho, our poor little feet go through a battering during our lifetime don't they? They very much are used and abused and at certain stages of our lives they need a little help and support, especially during pregnancy. Vionic is shoe brand which has everything from boots, sandals, flip flops, trainers and more that has specialist technology designed by experts of all things feet.
Now you might assume that shoes designed and made by a podiatrist for chiropody and podiatry purposes might be ugly or granny like - wrong! They are actually really nice and you may be pleasantly surprised by how many styles there is to be had.
When I was given the chance to try out a pair of Vionic shoes... I couldn't say no could I? My pregnant feeties needed the help! I opted for the Minna Ballet Flats in Grey Snake* colour as I'm quite a fan of the good old ballet flat. My first impressions were 'ooo these are FANCY', as I'm so used to wearing a cheap pairs of Primark shoes. You could instantly see the quality in these shoes.
Made from durable materials with a faux snake skin pattern and the bow detailing on the leather toe cap - these are FAR from granny like I can tell you now! There is a firm yet flexible rubber sole that has the perfect grip, which is fab considering we're heading to the wetter months of the year.
Orthotic technology is high on the agenda with these shoes. They feature FMT technology, a biomechanic removable evaluated foot bed support that will help with the natural alignment of the foot. Because it is removable, on days where you might not feel up to having the extra support - all you got to do is remove the foot bed. They also come with a deep heel to help with support and stability - no more excuses for falling over.
It may feel kind of strange at first wearing the shoes with the support which I discovered. If you're used to wearing a certain style of shoe, then wearing a pair of Vionic's for the first couple of times might seem uncomfortable. However you will soon adapt and they will feel like a dream to put on your feet. As I'm used to putting on flat flip flops or ballet pumps to begin with these felt a little odd, however I got used to them after a few wears out and about.
Another great thing about Vionic is they also sell half sizes, so if your feet are not the standard size then not to worry Vionic have got your back or your foot should I say?!
If you want to browse the digital aisles of what Vionic have to offer (and there is a lot trust me) well the link is HERE.

New Topshop Shoes
Hands up if you find shoe shopping an effort? A chore? Aye, I certainly do. If life was perfect I'd be able to walk into one shop and find what I need in one hit. If I need new shoes I usually either go to Tesco or Primark as that's as far as I like to venture to these days. I can't remember the last time I went crazy in the shoe aisle.
A few weeks/months ago I saw Ingrid in one of her video talking about her Vans and I quite liked the look of hers. I kept it in my mind that one day I'd like my own Vans. Then one day at band camp... Wait no actually at Topshop I made a discovery - Van shoe look-alikes!! I then bought three pairs of the same shoe... Yes I am one of those people that if I find a shoe I like... I buy pretty much every colour I can find. Sad I know. But at £20 a pop it's technically not a bad investment.
These for me kind of resemble primary school plimsolls (remember those) however these are way more cool! I'm getting fancy look-alike Van style shoes for peanuts too. Win win! I also like that these are not trainers, very causal and stylish. Here are the shoes I got.
Tiga Slip On Skater Snake skin shoes - HERE
random black and white snake skin (faux of course) I was intially drawn to these for the style. I kind of thought why not give you a go as it's something different! When I wear them people always very complimentary on the way they look.
I also bought the Scuba Skater HERE, the material to me resembles a wet suit - rubber spongy in texture. Sounds weird but looks good, so who cares.
Finally... I also bought faux fur skaters (couldn't find a link - sorry). At 31 I never thought I would like faux fur shoes lol. They definitely were not on my wish list. But hey I'm trying to be more stylish and be down with the kids!
So that's it... I'm in a shoe band for the rest of the year. Would you wear any of these? Do you like the style?

Getting Crafty #Crochet
I love to be creative and make things. I think there is nothing more satisfying than building something with your bare hands.... Be it cakes, a crochet snood or doing a DIY on some old jars with glitter. More on the latter later on. In the above picture I was making a snood for my mum. It looks a jumbled mess but trust me the end result was lovely.
I have gradually built up collection of yarns, hooks and books. These are some of favourite books and they are great, but I personally think YouTube is the best place to see crochet at work. There is only so much a book can show.
When it comes to crochet I love that I can make something useful. I can see it and it doesn't take forever to see a result. I find it spurs me on to work faster. The snood I'm wearing below is something I knocked up in two days.
I made it with the help of Simply Hooked YouTubes channel (link HERE) and the cowl snood video is HERE. Anyone can make this as her instructions are clear and easy for a complete novice to understand. I did it... so you can. You just need a ball or yarn, a large hook and YouTube!! The snood I'm wearing and my mum's one are the same stitch. Once you get a stitch in your head, you just want to keep doing it over and over to perfect it!!
I think my next project will a a granny square blanket of some sort. Fun times a head.

December favourites
I thought I'd see out 2014 with my December favourites. I've got a good old mixture here for ya, some beauty bits and bobs, a smelly candle (slightly addicted to those I admit), a new hand bag plus shoes.
Uggs Boots (Style/Shade - Azalea/Chestnut) | LINK
I'm not sure these can be classed as a December favourite since I've only had them since Christmas Day. I have to thank the hubby for these... he did good. His choice of style, colour...I was not expecting these at all... they weren't even on a want list of mine. I've worn them every time I have left the house since the 25th. They are so comfortable and keep your feet toasty warm. It's love I tell you.
Rebecca Minkoff - MAC Bag | LINK
This was a bonus spending spree plus a 31st birthday treat to myself. It had been in the back of my mind to buy this bag for months, perhaps even a whole year. I opted for the MAC version as opposed to the famous Mini MAC. I think this will be one of those bags which will last a life time. I picked black as it is more wearable and timeless.
Heart and Home Candle - Baked Apple | LINK
Firstly OMG!!! If you love that smell of freshly baked apple pie (American Pie anyone?!?) then you'll want to get your hands on this. Pop the lid off and this smells amazing, but light it.... man your house will smell like you've got pots of apples and cinnamon cooking on the stove. It is truly yummy.
Crocheting
My inner granny has emerged and I have been a proper little crocheter. I'm no knitting crocheting genius yet but currently I have made three snoods so far. I'm now attempting a gigantic blanket for the sofa. It might have bitten off more than I can chew and it may take me a year to make it but I thought I'd give it a whirl. Watch this space.
Bourjois Happy Light Foundation | LINK
If I'd written a favourites post for every other month of this year, this would of been included every time. It's been a favourite for months now, so much so I'm almost hitting the bottom of the bottle. It's strange considering I used to hate this initially. I've never tried any Bourjois foundations before now, but I'm very pleased with this. It's light and gives you a glow. However it is build-able which I like. I've certainly pick this up again soon.
Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder | LINK
I haven't used this for a while until recently. I'd forgotten how good this powder is at getting my under eye makeup to last all day. It contains a micro shimmer which reflects the light and brightens the whole area. I love to use this with my Real Techniques Setting Brush... It's the perfect size. This little pot lasts for ever too so it's worth the investment.
Lancôme Ombre Hynose Eyeshadow - Erika | LINK
I picked this up at the end of November to wear for the work Christmas party and it so sparkly. It's not that annoying fall out glitter sparkly but a smooth creamy metal grey shimmery beauty. Yes it is a little expensive but still gorgeous So it is justified right???
I hope you all have a great New Years, I'm spending mine munching on jelly babies. Have a good one!!!

Dorothy Perkins Haul
December is the month of the work Christmas party and my birthday month. I am excited for the Christmas party as I have never been to one before. Fingers crossed I can put together a get ready with me video of some sort. Secondly I can't say I'm very excited to be turning 31, I can't believe I'm that old to be honest. Not like 31 is really classed as old. I was mortified to turn 30 last year... so to be 31 makes me feel slightly sad. But I cannot do anything about it but use lots and lots of anti wrinkle creams to keep me looking 25!
In preparation for the Christmas party I went and bought a Christmas outfit from Dorothy Perkins. My whole outfit came to under £50. This is great when times are hard and you don't have many pennies to spend. I have popped any links below to anything I purchased. Some are not available unfortunately.

Clown Pants and Kimonos
I'll start this post by mentioning the obvious. I have no idea at all what the official name for this style of trouser is. I keep referring to them as clown pants and it's kind of stuck in my mind now.
So moving on... kimonos and clown pants are a big thing right now... they are everywhere. I thought they would not suit me and would engulf my frame and height. However sometimes you need to bite the bullet and be brave. Got for it!
I wouldn't say I was the most fashionable girl on the streets of Skiathos town in these pictures but I like the clash of patterns. I would never usually do that... but here it works. Well I think so anyway.
Kimono | Primark - no online store.
Clown Trousers | Primark - again no links....boo hiss!
Black Vest | Marks and Spencer - Link here
This outfit has proved to me it is good to mix up patterns and to be daring. You just never know it might just work for you.

Lace, Curls & Sparkle
There is nothing quite like a fresh hair cut is there? My hair was needing some TLC badly. In my attempt to grow it out to get it longer, I'd let the ends become a bushy messy. Not a sexy look!
Cue a visit to my faithful hair dresser Vanessa. It is strange that she just seems to know what to do with my hair. I tell her what I want and she makes it happen just like magic. It just so happens that the magic happen on the afternoon before date night.
Let the new hair pictures commence....

Let the new hair pictures commence....
I had my usual trim, layering my hair at the bottoms due to the thickness of my barnet. Without layering my hair would be so thick and just one big bush!
How the curls were created was by blow drying straight with a large round bristle brush. Then using a slim line straighteners, she pulled the straightener through the hair and started to turn it it towards the ends of the hair. Once each curl was born it then got a spray of hairspray to hold the curl in place.
Once all the curls were created, a texturising balm was roughly run through my hair to make it look more natural.
Let's just say I love it and wish my hair looked this good on a daily basis. Sighhhh!
As it was date night, I also treated myself to a new top and a bit of bling. Nothing too expensive or fancy... it all came to under £20! I like looking good without having to spend a whole months wage.
The necklace is not something I'd usually wear, however it just caught my eye with it's faux diamonds and minty colour. It's unlike anything I own and I thought it would be great for laying over a simple top. Plus it will look great this summer with tanned skin.
The top is a light baby pink shade t-shirt with lace detailing on the shoulders and chest area. I love simple clothing but the added lace really makes it a little bit more girly... especially as it is date night.
Top | H&M - £7.99 ... link here

I hope this post might inspires you for your date night, whether it be with the boy or with your girlfriends :-)

H&M Jewellery Haul
I do love a bit of bling... so I recently hauled these beauties. I really like a good statement piece of jewellery and the necklaces below are big hello look at me statement pieces.
Whilst I picked these up, I also picked up so clothes and shoes which you can see here and here.
All of these came to a shocking £25 ish, which I think a big thumbs up. For me these are timeless pieces which will never look old. I really H&M for their jewellery items... there is always something I could buy there.

Rainbow slippers
I never thought I'd be buying a pair of shoes which resembled slippers. When slipper style shoes became the 'in' thing I turned my nose and thought no way... I'll look my granny forgetting to change my shoes!
Well after a quick dash into one of my second homes, I saw these babies on half price sale. Rainbow sparkles and the fact they were comforty sold it to me.
Marked down from £12 to £6 in Primark, I was initially drawn to the sparkle. Then I saw the price and thought even if they lasted 5 minutes it was worth it. Besides I'm trying to be more fashionable and adventurous! Watch this space.

Denim, Knits and Bling
Denim shirt £19.99 ~ H & M
Necklace £9.99 ~ H & M
Knitted Jumper £19.99 ~ H & M
I have always dreamed of buying myself a denim shirt and I have had my eye open for the perfect one. Step forward H & M's offering. This for a high street purchase is a high quality feel, it's not a cheap cheerful denim... it's thick and feels high quality. I love the lazy press stud buttons also... a perfect throw on outfit.
As for the jumper, this was tossed on the side somewhere on its own and I felt sorry for it. I do like a big cuddly jumper. This also went perfect with my denim shirt! I'd actually seen Fleur (De Force) wear a denim jumper combo in one of her recent video's. She looked hot so I thought I might to look hot too. Plus navy is my favourite colour these days.
Now the necklace... this is bold and gives great detailing to the collar of this outfit which I love. I thought this was a must have. Something like this in Topshop would cost tonnes more but H&M have it at a not to be ignored price. Bargain!
So anything take your fancy?

ClaireaBella
A few weeks ago I got a ClaireaBella phone case for my birthday on December 19th. It was something I'd actually asked Santa for, but Santa delivered early (thank you Santa).
A few of my friends have ClaireaBella items and I've always thought what they had was really cute. I also needed a case for my phone, so it seemed like a reasonable request from Santa.
ClaireaBella is taking the UK by storm at the moment. Her unique store (exclusively available at ToxicFox) is where you can personalise anything from kindle covers, lunchboxes, hoodies, t-shirts and jute bags to name some. You can also personalise iPhone covers too!
All you have to do is create your mini me on the site. Different hair; styles, lengths and colours. Different eye colours and outfits can be chosen also. I love my mini me... this is really what I look like (in my dreams anyway).
At £24.99, it might seem excessive for just a phone cover, but it's unique. You can also add your name but I chose Hi Gorgeous! Check out ToxicFox / ClaireaBella, trust me you'll love it!

Accessorize Sale
I hate sale shopping!
One year I went out in the Boxing Day sales and I vowed never to do it again. Crazy mad house comes to mind, some people truly get possessed when it comes to sales.
On my way home from work on NYE I dropped into Accessorize to see if they had anything nice left over that I might like. Shockingly I actually found some beauties.

Real Leather Belt - £12.00 marked down to £6.00
Bracelet - £4.00 marked down to £2.00
Necklace - £15.00 marked down to £7.50
Total spending's £15.50... bargain!

Sadly the necklace has one rhinestone missing but I think it is barely noticeable. I hadn't noticed before I bought it, but I think for the price I paid I don't mind putting up with it.
I love belts. I'm all about the belt and making my waist appear smaller. I mean who isn't? A different take on the boring plain belt, this one has a nice braided pattern.
The bracelet is just so me. Cute and dainty and not too big and bulky I could wear it all day long. It almost looks like something you'd pick up as a holiday souvenir.

Animal socks
A strange fashion post, but a cute one never-the-less. I have Mummy Jolly to thank as she got me these for Christmas. I am a fan of the cute, fun picture socks - especially ones with animals.
From Accessorizes these cutie pies are so adorable. I Instagramed a picture of myself wearing the black cat pair recently. What else is cool when it comes to washing, these will be easier to match up. I love the simple things!
Do you like patterned socks? Which one is your favourite?

BbloggerXmas Outfit
A touch overdue but I thought I'd show you a few recent fashion purchases. I actually wore this outfit to the BbloggerXmas Party on December 15th.
Everything mentioned below is new-ish as they were purchased on the 15th, so it all should be in store still. The only exception is the watch, as I've had that a while.

Everything mentioned below is new-ish as they were purchased on the 15th, so it all should be in store still. The only exception is the watch, as I've had that a while.
I'm not very good at posing...

These boots were made...
...for me!!! An absolute find in none other than the supermarket. Thanks Tesco... you are where I buy my best clothes.
I've had my eyes peeled for a while for some new fancy autumn boots. I was doing my weekly shop in Tesco when I detoured to the clothing department... a must really. I spotted these and was sold!
These sandy brown faux suede ankle boots cost a mere £18 from Florence + Fred, a price tag I could not ignore. Perfect for the colder days as they are so cosy and can be easily worn with tights, skinny jeans or jeggings
What I love especially with these is the detailing. They have a comfortable 4 cm wedge style heel. A faux fur lining and a laced up panel on the back. They also have a slouchy look at the front. The boots are easy to put on as they come with a zip fastening.
F+F also sold them in black, so being the typical girl I also purchased them too! If I find a pair of shoes I love in one colour I tend to buy the other colours... makes sense right??
You can pick these boots here in brown or the black right here. Oh and good news they ship internationally. Yay! Have you picked up any goodies from your local supermarket?
