Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil

I love the feel of moisturised skin, who wants dry skin?  Hmmm no one!  I do love and own a few body butters, lotions and creams but there is something else I’ve been really been loving lately.  So much so, the bottle is fast becoming empty.

Since I took this picture, the amount left is hardly nothing.

Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil is a nourishing body oil which I have been using for a few months now since I went to Tunisia in October.  I picked it up to use in the evenings to add moisture and a glowing look to the skin after being in the glorious sun shine all day.  Since then I’ve pretty much used it every day since.

A weightless oil with a beautiful scrumptious scent that leaves your skin glowing and radiant.  It makes you look very refreshed and healthy.  Dull skin is gone with this beauty!

Containing yummy ingredients like argan, macadamia, almond and rose - this leaves smelling so... what’s the word... there isn’t one - just ahhhhh!  It is just a lovely relaxing smell if that makes sense.  I love my rosy floral scents and macadamia and argan are the king or queen of moisture, so this is a winner for me.

You might think because this is an oil based product that your skin would feel like an oil slick after applying it.  I promise, no it doesn’t unless you apply too much obviously then it will feel too oily.  The oil is very light weight and with the spray application it is lightly and evenly distributed on to the skin.  Just rub into the skin and your are finished.  You can dress or go to bed within minutes as it’s absorbed into the skin very fast and the oil doesn’t transfer.

Afterwards your skin will be left glowing with a healthy looking sheen.  This on the legs and arms looks lovely, you’ll have the super model sheen.  My top tip is to shower or have bath first, then pat the skin dry and whilst the skin is still slightly damp then put this on.  Your pore will still be open from the heat of the shower/bath.

This usually retails for £7.99 but Boots had it on special for £5-ish so go get yourself a bottle... I have!

Garnier Skin Renew B.B. Cream

With BB creams taking the makeup world by storm in recent months it was silly of me not to pick one up.  The Garneir BB Cream was something I picked up what feels like years ago in Chicago back in February.

I have the shade light/medium which at present feel slightly too dark for me.  It looks like it’s more aimed at skins colours which are slightly on the medium/tanned side.  Sadly I do look like I’m wearing a mask when I wear this . . .not the look I’m looking for Garnier!  I think while I'm away on holiday and hitting the beach I'll be using this.

The good points is this does do what it says on the tin. It is light to medium coverage depending on how much you apply.  If you’re thinking this is foundation material then you are mistaken. It gives more of the tinted moisturiser effect. When it comes to the product the consistency it is nice, a thick-ish cream.

I feel like it does even out my skin and you don't see so much of the redness of my skin.  If you see my before and after pictures you can see a small blemish (under the scar) in the before doesn't show in the after application picture.

Before application

The bad points are or the not so good points are for me is the shine. Yes it gives you a dewy complexion, but I have oily skin already and I don’t want to enhance it with an oily looking face product. Bad times. The size of the tube not necessarily a bad thing but if you can’t see yourself using this lots then it might go to waste, because the tube is big.
After application

I do like this – it’s not all bad.  If i was merely looking for a product to whip out and apply to myself if i was popping to Tesco or just wanted to feel more made up at home then this would be it.  But if you want long lasting flawless complexion then you won’t get it with this product.  As generally that's not what a BB is all about.

Do you wear BB creams, what do you wear?

Empties that I loved...

and still love...September has seen me finish a few items.

L-R empty, empty empty..

Superdrugs Deep Action Cleansing Lotion
For a drug store product I really love this.  I'd run out of my Clinique Exfoliate and needed a cheaper alternative.  And I stumbled across this in the aisles of Superdrug.  To use this, cleanse your face then grab a cotton pad and wipe this over your face (avoiding the eyes).  Because your pores will be open it will tingle, which is good...at least you know it's working.  What's excellent about Superdrug, they have a tendency to have 'buy 3 get the cheapest free' deals.  So you can stock up on this and other items.

Garnier 2 in 1 Makeup Remover
This is my favourite eye makeup remover.  However stubborn the eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara this will remove it.  Soak a cotton pad and push this onto your lid and give it a little wiggle into the lashes and you'll be amazed.  They is no need to rub or wipe so hard it hurts, this just melts off any product.  This won't sting your eyes and it isn't oily.  I am a contact lense wearer and it's fine.  The bottle just needs a little shake to mix the two parts togther and off you go!

Finally thoughts...

Would I repurchase any of these??  Ha, I already have done as they were on sale.  I have recently purchased some Liz Earle items so I'm giving these a whirl first.

What have you used up recently??
