No7 Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil ~ Green

So I have a new eyeliner to show you.  With Christmas coming I thought I'd try something a little fancy and I recently picked up this metallic eyeliner from No7 to try out.
Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil in Green

So it's called Green.  To me the name doesn't really do this product justice.  Green sounds a little boring, Emerald is much more alluring.  I mean if you see the swatches above, I'd hardly call this just an average green... green lagoon perhaps?

On the lash line and lid

This eyeliner promises a soft, stay perfect, creamy liner with an intense colour and shine.  No7 do break some of these promises.

Initially this is quite hard to use.  No7 say this is creamy, I personally have been warming the pencil on the back of the hand before applying to the lash line or eye lid as it just too hard.  Dragging on a tender skin area is a no no for me!

No7 promise a long lasting metallic liner.  I have found that this does like to smudge a little to begin with which is unfortunate.  So it's not particularly long lasting as promised.  As for the metallic promise No7 do keep to their word as this does have that metallic look about it.

Swatches time

In all honesty I like this but I don't think I'd be repurchasing sadly.  It's just too hard on the tender eye area, however I love the colour as it is intense and metallic.  If they made a softer version then perhaps I'd be swayed to repurchase it.

This is a little expensive for a drug store brand at £6.50, I'd rather spend the money on these babies which are better and longer lasting.

Natural Collection | Crimson

So the festive season is in full swing it seems, so I thought I'd crack on out some bold lips.  I'm always bit scared to wear a red, as I don't feel like it's a colour I can pull off.  Well I thought I'd be daring and give it go.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine in Crimson

I decided to shop my stash and grabbed Crimson from my collection.  A bright eye catching red which glides on smoothly.  This is a classic red which costs pennies... a whole 199 of them.  If you're someone who loves supper smart packaging you won't find it here as it's very basic.  But it's what's inside that counts.

Pukka up!

This has a very moisturised look without being too glossy.  It lasts on the lips quite a while... around 2 hours which is very good.   I honestly don't think you can go wrong with this.

This is my second Natural Collections lipstick and I actually think the quality is very good considering the price.  I have previously reviewed Apple Blossom which you can see here if you'd like.

What's your favourite red lipstick?

Some more Soap and Glory!!

A sucker for '3 for 2' offers in places likes Boots and Superdrug I have been sucked in.....again!  This time I have picked up some Soap and Glory products.  Slowly I am becoming more and more in love with the brand.  I was never too fond of SG in the beginning as I thought it was an over priced brand and basically chose to ignore it. But now my SG collection is getting bigger and bigger.  I did picked up a full size tub of Flake Away but I'm not going to do a mini review, as I have done a full review here.  So here are the other two items I picked up.

Glad Hair Day and Heel Genius

After picking up a 50ml travel sized Glad Hair Day Hair Conditioner as an emergency gym bag purchase, I fell in love and bought myself a full size in the same week.  This product, like a majority of SG products smells delicious! It has a fruity scent which smells yummy and lingers afterwards.  It makes my hair very soft and shiny and just easy to manage.  The only thing is I feel like I need lots of it for my hair as I have thick hair, so sadly I do not see this tube lasting very long at all.  Very good at detangling and strengthening your hair, I'd certainly buy this again.

The next item I got is the Heel Genius Amazing Footcream.  Unfortunately since what feels like forever I have suffered with very dry feet. It is a constant battle to keep them moisturised and I always feel I'm on the losing side. The first time I used this I put a reasonable amount on my feet after a shower and before bed. I then put some cotton socks on over night so my feet would keep the cream on. By morning my feet were so soft I was really impressed. Throughout the day they remained soft and moisturised too, they didn't instantly get dry again which i don't think i ever seen before with other foot creams I've used.  With ingredients like macadamia oil and menthol this makes you feet like you've got new ones!!!

What's your favourite Soap and Glory products?

Hello!! What has happened to you??

I've owned my Botanics facial brush for a while now.  I purchased back in May/June as I blogged about it here.  Now seeing that I only purchased it three, well nearly four months ago - the wear and tear has been a little rough to say the least.

Oh dear!!

It seems after only three months my brush has had its day.  Some of the bristles have gone flat and seem to have parted down the middle of the brush.  I've noticed as well that since this has happened I don't feel like my face gets the full benefits like it used to when it was brand new.

When I first started using it - I felt like this really did exfoliate my face and make it feel really soft.  It is a shame really that this has happened as I quite liked using this brush as part of my daily routine.  Now I feel as though it ready for the rubbish pile or cleaning my bathroom tiles!!!

Have you had any product let downs?

Haul Time . . .again!

Evening all, I have another little haul for you.  I made purchases from H&M, Boots, Superdrug and I talk about magazine freebies and my eyebrows.  I filmed this yesterday whilst it was actually bright any sunny!

I am planning to start eye makeup tutorials soon but I'd been trying to clear up a little break out of eczema on my eye lid.  So I haven't really fancied doing any close ups of that!

Anyways enjoy the video!

Hope you had a good weekend!

Botanics Facial Brush

I do love a cool beauty accessory.  The Botanics Facial Brush is basically a manual Clarisonic . . . no batteries included. . . . plus a different price tag.  Nice!

In my quest for beautiful skin I've used many different tools from muslin cloths to exfoliating sponges. From facial loofahs to face mitts to even a electric tooth brush . . . yes really!  So I thought I'd go back to basics and try the Botanics Facial Brush which is available at Boots for under a tenner.

A wooden handled 'tooth brush' for the face which I'm going to use this along side my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish.  I will still use the muslin cloths, but I will use this also for more of a deep cleanse.  I do have some problem areas on my cheeks and nose, so hopefully the bristles will scrub away my flaws!  All will be revealed in a few weeks when I review the brush.

What tools do you like to use to help get better skin?

Boots No7 Voucher - What did I get??

Now none of us can say we haven't possessed a No7 voucher at least once in our life (I'd be shocked if you told me you hadn't, especially if you're a English girl Boots-Shopaholic like me anyway).  Half the time they end up going un-used,  but this time I decided to put the voucher to good use.

No7 have some what recently lauched their Spring Collection called Floral Brights.  I'm not normally drawn to No7, I've had a few items from the brand before but nothing that's made me feel like it was an amazing must have product.  So when I saw this in all its magnificent glory . . . I just had to touch it because it is stunning.

With its flowery 'floral' packaging the Vital Enlightening Highlighter is certainly a stop you in your tracks product. If you are taken by the the beauty of the packaging, then you'll be even more impressed especially when you open the gorgeous compact.

As for what's inside the beautiful packaging is something else which is just as amazing.  Hello beautiful!!!  A smooth lightweight luminous highlighter pressed into a matching floral shape just like the  flowery design on the lid.  To give you a glow to your face, neck and decollete ...which pretty much everyone needs after a long cold winter.

Now the finger swatch.....wow-wee!!!!  But hang on wait a minute . . . I shall not speak so soon - as my only slight concern after swatching is that shimmer you see in the photo only seems to be the first layer. After that, it just looks like a basic powder.  If you see the above picture I have swatched in the bottom right hand corner, now see the lack of shimmer as it's now on my finger! Hmmmm interesting.

The swatch on the hand... it looks great but this obviously has the 'top layer' shimmer so is this really what the product will look like???  Will it still be this glowing once the top layer shimmer has gone?  Who knows ...only time will tell.  But I do like this....for now.

I got £5 off with my voucher, so I got this for £8.00 - which I think is a fair price. If I'd walked past this without the voucher in my pocket and saw I had to pay the full price of £13.00 then I would of kept on walking.  Perhaps this is why my vouchers usually go to waste as I think No7 is slightly over priced??

When you get No7 vouchers from Boots, what do you buy? Do you have any No7 recommendations.
