Primark Beauty Neon Polish

I'm loving neon shades at the moment.  The reason why might be due to the yucky English weather.  There is nothing quite like some fun bright colours to bring some happiness into your day.

The two pink shades apply excellently... two coats and you are good to go.  However the neon green and yellow polishes need a little more of a helping hand with three to four coats as they are on the sheer side.

For a cheap set of four shades these are a great bargain, especially as neon as very 'in' right now.  You can pick these four up in your local Primark for £2. Ooo I do like myself a bargain.

Emerald Isle NPOTW

This is my final polish from the Primark haul of polishes which you can see here.  I have also shown Foiled Again which is another Primark polish here.

This is the least impressive polish of the bunch.  To get any kind of coverage you have to really layer this up. This picture above has at least three coats of polish and it still doesn't give the great coverage of the nail.

I would probably team this up with another polish as a base then use this as a top coat.  If you're planning on buying this polish and using it alone then I wouldn't recommend it.  I might do another post/NPOTW showing this as a top coat, then I might start to like it!  But for under £2 it's not a big loss if I don't use it ever again.

Foiled Again NPOTW

Following up from my post this week here, showing you my new nail polishes from Primark, yes Primark!!  I thought I'd show you the next gorgeous polish which is Foiled Again.

This is the silver metallic polish of the trio and it is stunning for a cheap £1.50 polish.  I am only wearing one coat and it looks great.  There is some streaky patches - namely down the side of the thumb nail, but one coat is wearable definitely.

What I really like about these polishes is they aren't as difficult to remove like glitter polishes.  They also last a really long time and don't hardly chip at all.

Keep an eye open for my next polish - Emerald Isle!!!

Primark beauty goodies

We all know Primark is full of fantastic bargains be it clothes, shoes, accessories.  Primark is also pretty good for their beauty items. Some can be a little on the cheap side but some can be great finds. Recently on a mini shopping spree I noticed Primark have bought out some new new polishes.

Emerald Isle, Foiled Again and Delicious

At £1.50 each it would be silly not to pick at least one of the polishes.  But I liked three of them so I thought why not.  Emerald Isle is exotic green colour glitter.  Foiled Again is a metallic silver shade.  And Delicious is another metallic polish but this time in a purple colour.

I thought I'd show you firstly Delicious a lilac purpley metallic polish.  For a cheap polish this covers very nicely.  You could do one coat but it would be slightly streaky in places.  But if applied thickly you could get away with one coat.  The shine is amazing, it probably helps because of the metallic polish finish.

I will show you Emerald Isle and Foiled Again later on this week.  Have you ever bought any beauty items from Primark?

Who says makeup has to be expensive?

Recently for my TAG video 'A Makeup Look for £20' I showed you a new lipstick from Primark.  I'm loving this lipstick so much I knew it warranted a well deserved shout-out blog post.

Sadly this lipstick has no name and number, so it is nameless.  However I have decided to call it hot pink poker dots just for fun!  As you can see from the packaging this lipstick is £1.00!!!  Unfortunately yes it looks cheap, the packaging is basic, it doesn't taste the greatest but yes it is good when it comes to colour pay off, texture and overall look!

While some brands have eye watering price tags, I'm here to prove there are products out there which are reasonably priced.  For instance MUA is so affordable, their lipsticks are also £1.00.  If you're in your teens just experimenting in makeup for the first time or are a newbie to making YouTube video's - is there so much good quality items on the market for so little money.

The most comparable lipsticks I could compare the colour to, is probably MAC's Snob or Speedial.  They are also bright pinks.  There are probably other brands which have similar colours, but Snob and Speedial are ones in my collection already.

Have you ever tried any makeup from Primark?  Or do you know any brands which are inexpensive that you'd like to share with us?

Oh by the way sorry for the lack of posts, life has been hectic this week!  Got some projects in the pipeline, so stay tuned!

Well deserved dress haul

I haven't really been a clothes buyer in recent months.  I kind of put myself on a ban due to the fact I'm on Slimming World and I'm slowly shedding the pounds.  Nine pounds and counting...woop woop.

My current thoughts are...why buy clothes if they are only going to be too baggy and loose in a few months??  Why waste the money...might as well make do with what I already own.

I have noticed my clothes start to loosen already, so as a small treat I picked up three Primark dresses.  They are only £10 each, three dresses for £30... bargain!!! Some people buy just one dress for £30!

I already wore the navy dress on Friday to work and I had a few nice comments about the dress. Smiles.  The polyester dresses are quite girly, they finish just slightly above the knee.  Pulled in elastic waist and loose flowing sleeves.  Wear with a belt or without, looks good either way.

I think these are perfect for summer days at work and summer nights out in the pub beer garden.  You could wear these in the Autumn with some thick denier tights and knee boots.

Have you bought any cute summer outfits???

Introducing my NPOTW...

I’ve decided to create a topic of the week, I’m going to do a weekly blog post for my Nail Polish Of The Week (aka NPOTW....cute huh??)

At the moment I’m changing my polish so much – I’m always wearing a different colour each week and sometimes each day.  It also kind of helps with the growing my nail out process.  I’m less likely to bite my nails with a polish on them.  I’d be afraid of getting polish chips in my mouth.  Yuck!

Anyways so here’s my first NPOTW post. Yay!

Introducing...

Nails Glo Baby Glo! UV Reactive Nail Polish in Yes Cyan.  Purchased from Primark for £1.50 or £2.00 (can’t remember the exact price I know its one of them, but it’s still cheap which ever way you look at it)

This is a gorgeous. I must say it again, this is a G O R G E O U S nail polish colour.  A lovely bright vibrant turquoise blue, prefect for the summer.  You’re finger and toe nails will look great with this colour on them.

Now if you’re thinking Primark is usually pretty cheap and not very good quality, think again.  This polish covers so good,  you could probably get away with one coat.  But two coats of this baby and you’ll be ready to go.  It goes on just prefect.  No streaking, no patches, doesn’t take forever to dry.  All in all a great polish from Primark.  I'm definitely going to check out more of their polishes.

Ciao for now, more to come from NPOTW :- )

I just popped in for one thing...

...And came out with with a lot more!  Lol :-) That is the curse of Primark.  All I wanted to buy was hair ties/bands, that are a £1.  But low and behold i bought more.  I also got 2 tops, which I'm going to return as they look a little weird on me.  So here's what i am keeping...

Fake suede bag originally £7, marked down to £3, Wowzer!!! Mini blush brush £1.50, Hair band with rhinestone/jewels on £2, Big purple earrings £1.50, Gold chain bracelet £2 and Bronze illuminator in Bronze 0110 £3

After i lost my mini Sigma SS168m brush, I've been on the constant look out for a new mini blusher brush.  So i was really glad when i spotted this blush brush in Primark (i can't wait to try out more of Primarks cosmetic line...watch this space...)  This brush is a perfect size for me on my travels, thumbs up.  Always a fan of cheap statement pieces and accessories, i couldn't resist the earrings, bracelet and the head band.  They all scream bling, and for a crazy price of £5.50 for all 3 - you can't really complain, can you???

The bronze illuminator is a complete bargain, at only £3 you can't go wrong with this.  If you click on the picture below you can see what the product comes out the tube like and what it looks like when blended.  Pictures taken with flash camera.

You like my blingy tacky bracelet?  Yeah I do too, I'm up for any bling that costs a whole £2!!!!  I loveeeee  Primark!!!

Insert big goofy picture of me wearing my new hand band and earrings.  Apologises for the red nose, messy hair.  Had a long day at work and suffering with a rotten cold (oh the joy).

Have you purchased any cool things lately? Tell me about them....
